General Information and History
- The project was planned and built by the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce; operating rights were transferred to TÜYAP for 10 years in 2018. The official opening ceremony took place on December 11, 2018, at the Book Fair.
- The complex includes the “Tüyap Fair Center” and the “Vehbi Koç Congress Center” and can therefore host both fairs and congresses.
Infrastructure and Capacity
- There are two exhibition halls with a net usable area of 4,000 m², and a total of approximately 5,000 m² × 2 + 3,000 m² foyer area is planned.
- Vehbi Koç Congress Center offers a 750-seat auditorium as well as 5 different meeting rooms with a capacity of 100, 50, and 25 people.
Technical Facilities and Services
- Fully air-conditioned space.
- The exhibition halls have approximately 120,000 m² of closed area.
- Technical maintenance, electricity, water, generator, pneumatic loading systems are available for participant support.
- 4,500-space parking (~1,600 of which are covered). Services include a helipad, disabled access, high-speed Wi-Fi, and VIP rooms.
Social & Accommodation Facilities
- The fairgrounds feature 14 cafeterias, 2 à la carte restaurants, 1 patisserie, and 2 bars/fast-food areas. Hostess, security, tourism consulting, and technical support services are also available.
- Access from the city center is quite easy thanks to its integrated metro and tram access. Free shuttle services are also available for the fair.
City, Tourism and Economic Impact
- In its first year of operation, the Book Fair attracted approximately 88,400 visitors to Eskişehir, bringing together more than 10% of the city's population.
- In the January-May period of 2024, it hosted 57 events and welcomed 201,274 visitors; the number of events in the city has increased exponentially over the years.
- Thanks to TÜYAP's international office network (Skopje, Sofia, Tehran, Moscow, etc.), procurement committees contribute to the global spectrum by going beyond traditional sectors.
Current and Future Events
- Fairs are organized in various sectors such as Eskişehir Book Fair (search, signing days, author programs), Construction Fairs, Agriculture, Cosmetics, Furniture, Construction, Hobby, Sports and Food fairs.
- In 2025, special fairs are planned for sectors such as “Agricultural Technologies”, “Furniture & Home Decoration”, “Personal Care” and “Construction”.
